Sree Agasthya Kalari is a school of the legendary traditional martial art of Kerala, India-Kalaripayattu (kalari), which is the oldest and mother of all Eastern martial arts such as kung-fu, karate, and judo. Since 1999, our school has been educating students and adhering to the teaching concepts of dialogue and active engagement in order to develop education and self-expression. Our goal is to establish strength, discipline, confidence, and focus in our students, as well as to further develop their skill sets and challenge them to be the best they can be. We think that everyone has the capability to lead; all they need is someone to believe in them.

Kalari uzhichil (Massage)

Kalari Training

Kalari is the mother of all eastern martial arts, including
kungfu, karate, and Judo. It was created between the third
and sixth centuries BC.
Kalaripayattu consists of
 Fighting with an empty hand (strikes, kicks,
grappling,evasions, jumps and pressure point
strikes)
 Weapons training (short stick, long staff, knife,
sword, dagger, mace, spear, Urumi (flexible sword),
pressure point sticks, and so on).
 Injuries and their treatment

Yoga

Yoga is regarded as a low-impact activity that can deliver
the same benefits as any well-designed fitness programme,
such as improved overall health, stamina, and flexibility.
It helps reduce tension.
soothes the mind while strengthening and balancing all
aspects of the body
We teach flexibility exercises from Kalari alongside Yoga at
Sree Agasthya Kalari, making it an advanced Yoga
Curriculum.

Kalari uzhichil (Massage)

Massage entails massaging and manipulating muscles,
tendons, skin, and ligaments.
Kalari Uzichil has the following advantages:
 Improves people immune system by stimulating the
lymphatic system, which helps the immune system
protect the body.
 It promotes cell repair and speeds up healing.
 Improves circulation by making it easier for oxygen
and nutrients to reach tissues and organs.
 Pain and stiffness are relieved by the release of
endorphins, which function as a pain reliever.
Muscles that are fatigued, overused, or sore might
relax and soften as a result of the massage.
 Reduces stress, anxiety, and depression, resulting in
better sleep, more energy, improved attention, and
reduced weariness.
 Improves flexibility and suppleness.
 Removes dead skin cells from the body, resulting in
a more even skin tone.
 The increased blood flow helps the skin's look and
health.
 Encourages tissue regeneration, which helps to
reduce the visibility of scars and stretch marks.
Depending on the type of massage oil used, the oil will
moisturise and provide additional advantages to the skin.
