ISKCON Temple

The ISKCON Delhi temple which is commonly known as Sri Sri Radha Parthasarathi Mandir, is a well-known Vaishnav temple dedicated to Lord Krishna and Radharani in the form of Radha Parthasarathi. Former Prime Minister of India Atal Bihari Vajpayee and former Chief Minister of Delhi Sahib Singh Verma, as well as Sushma Swaraj, opened the temple on April 5, 1998. It located in the East of Kailash neighborhood of New Delhi, India, near Hare Krishna Hills (near Nehru Place). Dr. Thomas J. Hopkins stated that “He was a truly holy person with immense honesty and compassion, and he had a profound impact on anyone who came into contact with him. He neither claimed authority or respect for himself; everything he said and performed was in the service of Krishna."

On the western side, ISKCON is best known as the Hare Krishna movement, though it is a monotheistic subdivision of the famed Gaudiya Vaishnava religious tradition. ISKCON primarily follows to Lord Krishna's teachings. In the Krishna Consciousness, chanting the sacred names of God is a vital activity. It is one of the most important aspects of spiritual service. It aids in the creation of serenity and contentment by enlivening the human-God relationship. Lord Krishna appeared on this globe around 525 years ago to preach the recitation of the Holy Names and to teach the people of the Kaliyuga how to become devotees by taking the shape of a devotee. The incomparable Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, who is a combination of Sri Radha and Sri Krishna, was this devotee form. Eventually, the religious phrase became more popular: "Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Hare Hare," Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare." His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada (1896-1977), the famed emissary of spiritual teachings in India, took the cause forward and established ISKCON in New York in 1965. Let's take a look at the ISKCON's brief history: • During the years 1966-1968, an increasing number of people joined the sacred mission. As a result, he established temples in Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, Santa Fe, Montreal, and New Mexico, among other cities. • In San Francisco, the inaugural Rath-Yatra event was held. Rath-Yatra Celebration is India's largest and oldest annual festival. However, devotees of the ISKCON now celebrate this Rath-Yatra celebration in several parts of the world. • During the years 1970-1977, ISKCON established several significant pilgrimage centres and places in India, including Vrndavana and Mayapur. The same name was also given to Mumbai's largest temple. • In 1972, Srila Prabhupada founded the BBT (Bhaktivedanta Book Trust), a publishing firm. They are now one of the largest publishers of Lord Krishna's literature in the modern era. Between 1966 to 1977, Srila Prabhupada translated nearly 40 volumes of Krishna Literatures from Sanskrit to English. • The Bhaktivedanta Book Trust has published books in over 50 languages, including ‘Srimad Bhagavatam' or ‘Bhagavata Purana,' the ‘18-volumes of Lord Krishna's incarnation's history,' ‘pastimes and followers,' and ‘Sri Caitanya Caritamrita,' the ‘9-volumes of biography and teaching techniques of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu'. • The Bhaktivedanta Institute was founded in 1973 to support the teachings of the Vedas. • For ISKCON, 1974 is a pivotal year. They began food aid operations in disaster zones around the world. • Srila Prabhupada left his disciples alone in November 1977. ISKCON currently has roughly 108 temples, educational communities, and centres, as well as over 10,000 members. • During 1989, the entire 'Hare Krishna Movement' appeared to be a revolutionary shift in the former Soviet Union. As a result, by 1991, the country had sold roughly one million copies. • ISKCON now has more than 500 centres around the world.

Founder of the temple

ISKCON's founder acharya is Srila Prabhupada. A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Srila Prabhupada arrived in New York City's port on September 17, 1965. His visit was intended to introduce a long-forgotten Indian religion. Although Srila Prabhupada died on November 14, 1977, his mission was a huge success. ISKCON, or the International Society for Krishna Consciousness, was founded by Srila Prabhupada. Around 108 ISKCON temples, ashrams, and cultural centres were founded by him around the world.

SRI SRI RUKMINI DWARKADHISH TEMPLE

ISKCON Dwarka is a Hare Krishna temple, ashram, and community dedicated to bhakti-yoga, or loving service to Krishna, the Supreme Personality of Krishna. They are a branch of His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada's International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), a worldwide spiritual movement founded in New York City in 1966 by His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada. ISKCON Dwarka is home to a loving community of practising Hare Krishna devotees and over 20 resident monks, all under the direction of His Holiness Gopal Krishna Goswami Maharaj. The beginnings of the ISKCON Temple Dwarka were modest. In the summers of 2012, it began under a tree. The area was barren since it was heavily bushed and uncontrolled. The land, on the other hand, was waiting for Lord Krishna's blessings. The BhoomiPujan ceremony was held in January 2013, and the temple was inaugurated six months later in July 2013. The temple is only temporary at the moment, but it provides a unique cultural and traditional experience.
