Gurukul Kurukshetra, comfortably situated on a prestigious platform in the educational world, requires no introduction. On the occasion of Baisakhi in 1912, the great liberation fighter and dedicated social crusader Swami Shardhananda founded this magnificent seat of learning. This institution is enriching the lives of thousands of students by adopting Swami Dayananda's ideas and blending traditional and modern culture. Kurukshetra reminds us of the mega-war that laid the foundation of India's destruction, but it also reminds us of Swami Shardhananda, who planted a tree of knowledge in the shape of Gurukul to overcome the darkness of ignorance. That tiny seedling has grown to be the size and shape of a massive banyan tree. Under this tree of knowledge, students from many geographical regions obtain instruction. Swami Shardhanand Ji was able to realize his goals after a generous Thanesar City contributor, Lala Jyoti Prasad, provided a large plot of land and Rs. 10,000/- in cash. Despite the fact that Lala Ji had no problems of his own, his kindness has resulted in shoals of students bringing honours to this university.

There are distinct sections for NDA(N), Engineering (E), Medical (M), and other courses (A) beginning in 9th grade, and science is taught by three distinct teachers depending on the subject's specialization.

7. Admission	Admissions are made to V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, and XI classes. In the last week of March, the date of entry examination usually falls. In January, Prospectus shall be published. The duly completed form linked to the prospectus is submitted before the last date in the school. The candidate excelling in the entrance examination is given the preference for admission. In the prospectus and on the school website, the curriculum for the entrance examination is published. Fee Structure Parents should pay for education and all that their wards use for personal purposes, such as meals, electricity, milk, books, canteens etc. The costs are of two kinds: i. Yearly fees ii. Quarterly fees Only at the beginning of the session should annual charges be paid. In the months of April, July, October and Jaunary quarterly mess costs are usually charged. Only a demand draught issued in favour of Principal Gurukul Kurukshetra shall pay quarterly fees. Gurukul Kurukshetra, the principal may also be remitted with an online fee.

Alumni

The Alumni Association of Gurukul Kurukshetra has been established. This organization helps the country in a variety of ways. Some of their alumni worked as IIT engineers, doctors, C.A's, army, marines and national air force officers. They are also playing a key role as Civil Officers.
Alumnus meetings are held on a regular basis. Gurukul is always open to constructive feedback from its alumni. Their willingness to serve the country has long been recognized.
