Significance
Bhimseni Ekadashi, Pandava Ekadashi, and Bhima Ekadashi are all
names for Nirjala Ekadashi. It is named after Bhimsen, the second Pandava
brother, because all of the Pandava brothers and Draupadi used to fast on all
of the Ekadashis except for Bhima, who couldn't fast twice a month owing to his
voracious appetite.
As a result, Bhimsena's
ancestor, Sage Vyasa, advised him to observe Nirjala Ekadashi once a year to
absolve him of the guilt of not being able to honour Lord Vishnu. Because of
this, people who are unable to fast on the other Ekadashi days are considered
to be able to observe Nirjala Ekadashi vrat. It will make up for the fact that
you didn't fast for all of Ekadashi this year.
Benefits
Ekda is a day of cleansing, restoration, and renewal in Nepal and India,
and is generally marked by a partial or total fast. Observant individuals do
not eat high protein or carbohydrate-containing items like beans and grains
during the fast since it is a day to purify the body.

Story/Katha
A monarch named Mahidhwaj used to be there in ancient times who
was highly religious. He was exceedingly harsh and unjust with his younger
sibling. One day in the night, he murdered Mahidhwaj his elder brother.
Under a peepal in the jungle, he buried Mahidhwaj's body. King
Mahidhwaj began to live on the spiritual soul because of his early death. There
was much turmoil produced by the spirit. Under that peepal, one day a sage
called Dhaumya passed. He saw the fantasy there. The wise man knew the cause of
the phantom's wickedness through its tapobal. He took this fantasy down from
the Peepal tree and proclaimed the afterlife wisdom.
To get rid of the king from the yoni, the guru himself fasted on
Apara Ekadashi. Whose virtue allowed the king to be free of the phantom vagina.
After thanking the compassionate sage, he departed to paradise.
