Since time immemorial, the Divya Jyoti - India's immortal Vedic flame – has been flickering. The first to attack were the Greeks, commanded by Alexander. The Pathans, Mughuls, Mongols, Turks, British, and French have all attacked, but the fire has never died out. The Sumerian and Byzantine civilizations are no longer extant. The Romans, British, and Russian empires have all crumbled. The flame continues to burn, fueled by the wisdom of India's forefathers. From ancient Rishis like Vashistha and Varahamihira to Adi Shankaracharya and Vallabhacharya in the middle ages to Swami Shivananda and Vivekananda in modern times, plus billions more followers of the religion, I'm adding a drop of oil to it in my own modest way. I often administered Stotras, Poojas, and mantras as cures as a practising astrologer and as a panel astrologer for Indiatimes.astrospeak, the popular Times of India website. The Stotras were difficult to get for the majority of my clients, and few were familiar with the Devanagiri script. Many of them had a variety of misunderstandings and erroneous beliefs regarding astrology and Poojas, for example. As a result, I decided to transcribe them in English and post them on the internet alongside some astrology articles. I worked on the typing throughout the full auspicious month of Kartika. This is how the website came to be. For those interested in reading the original classics, I added the Astro-library, which comprises 18 important Sashtras of astrology. All of the content on this site, including the articles, forecasts, Panchanga, ephemeris, and lessons, is based solely on traditional Indian Vedic astrology and is intended to educate the fundamentals of Vedic astrology as well as dispel misconceptions and false beliefs. The key Stotras, Poojas, and Mantras are also covered, which are traditionally used to ward off evil and improve one's fate. The following addition was 100 MP3 Stotras, which were recorded so that the correct pronunciation could be learned. The second project took roughly a year to complete, and now we have 200 Vedic scriptures online, including the Bhagavad Gita, the Vedas, the Puranas, and Ayurveda.
